Pakistan is a land which is built upon the Capitalist framework where it isn’t hard to figure out the distinction between binaries. Man and Woman, Bourgeoisies and Proletariat, Owner and Worker, Poor and Rich. Where one of the binary takes positions of supremacy and advantage, the other is pressed beneath their pressures. One enjoys, the other suffers, one gains, the other loses, one progresses, the other regresses. Hence, these differences lead to the birth of a FRUSTRATED poor.
This frustrated poor is forced by his fate and plight to suffer from abnormality and plunges him to become a thief, snatcher, beggar or even MURDERER.
Yes!
It does sound harsh for suffering poverty. But, cases have been registered where these people out of the acute suffering patterns have killed over issues of salary or over issues of their owner’s anger and scolding. Perhaps, that was the only way they had to gain control over these bourgeoisies who take benefit of their helplessness. It was reported in December 2013, a servant killed the only lady who lived in the house using a hammer over dispute on salary amount. A similar case has been recently reported from Defence that after a scolding each day for the burnt food that the cook made, while the lady’s daughter was away the cook murdered her so brutally that there was a hole in her head and ran away leaving gold bangles and valuable possessions in place. The last but not the least, in urge for earning some more money from the showroom owners at Shaukat Ali Road the guard killed three innocent souls and claimed to kill all of those who threatened to fire him from his job.
Is this race and gap of rich-poor leading towards creation of new inhumane specie who’s hearts are hardened by the harshness of life, that blood and killing is no more than their hunger and thirst. The poor have been disturbing peace and harmony in our country since the past three years, with an increase in crime reports but the question is, Who is to blame?
The Poor or the widened gap resulted by a Capitalist System?
